My name is Blake, and I’m at Rice University. Surviving at Rice requires a lot of concentration and work, and I’ve found that sometimes we need to stop and take a break for ourselves. That’s where HLCM comes in. Our short weekly Taize services and Friday book discussions provide a chance for us to slow down and get a new perspective on things. Most importantly for me, it provides an opportunity to grow my relationships, both with other people and with God.
Hey, Hey, Hey!
Having a place where you can be yourself is great, and that is what HLCM does. Campus ministry has helped me in knowing that everyone is accepted. I love being part of such an amzing and fun group. Having a place where I can continue to learn more and continue my relationship with God is great. I'm excited for the future & I can't wait.
I’m Ricky and I’m a sophomore at the University of Houston. This is my first year with the Houston Lutheran Campus Ministry. If I could say one thing about what HLCM has done for so many, myself included, it would be this. Having a place to go to with open and accepting people around you can truly strengthen the faith of those who feel lost and alone around campus. With HLCM I truly feel that together, we can achieve an education, build a community, and strengthen our relationship closer to God.
