About Lutheran Campus Ministry - Houston
Lutheran Campus Ministry - Houston is a ministry of the Texas - Luoisiana Gulf Coast Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and Christ the King Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. LCM Houston strives to provide spiritual enrichment and Christian fellowship for the academic communities of Rice University, University of Houston and the academic institutions at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. We do this through worship, bible studies and hanging out with one another.
Our mission is to...
-
invite all to be nourished through the proclamation
of the Word,
to be fed with the Body and Blood of Christ in the Lord's Supper,
and to live in the covenant of their Baptism,
-
serve and minister to the students, faculty and staff
of Rice
University, the University of Houston, institutions of the Texas
Medical Center, and young adults of the Houston community in whatever
capacity is needed,
-
create and maintain a community that welcomes all and
excludes
none,
-
nurture the faith journey of all of our members by
encouraging
open inquiry and challenging discussion,
-
serve the surrounding community in meaningful ways.
Lutheran Campus Ministry is lead by Rev. Brad Fuerst and is based out of Christ the King Lutheran Chruch in the Rice Village of Houston, Texas. For more information email:
