Grace and peace to you - U of H Coogs, Rice Owls, and Texas Medical Center students, faculty, and staff!
Our presence on your campus is welcoming and supportive of ALL students, faculty, and staff as they engage life's questions, God's call, and the faith of Christ. This Lutheran campus ministry is not just for Lutherans.
We - the student leaders and campus pastor - would love for you to join us in the ways God's calling us to serve, to seek justice, to advocate, and to marinate in God's tangible, audacious means of Grace.
Jessica, Cody, Nadinna, Blake, Jon and Pr. Brad
Rice's residential college serveries don't serve their students dinner on Saturdays, and we're more than glad to feed hungry people. Ergo...Soup's On Saturdays! We serve college students every Saturday during the semester @ 5:17 P.M. at Christ the King Church. (Corner of Greenbriar and Rice Blvd.) When you get there, just follow the soup bowl.
You are more than welcome to also join us for worship on at 6 P.M., but that's not required. We'll serve soup to you no matter what.
On Friday, February 20th @ 7:00 PM Houston Lutheran Campus Ministry is sponsoring a Lutheran Hymn Festival at the University of Houston’s A.D. Bruce Religion Center to celebrate the center’s 50th Anniversary.
Mark Mummert, Director of Worship at Christ the King Lutheran Church, and Rick Erickson, Director of Bach Society Houston will serve as cantors in this festival which will accentuate the widely diverse and global nature of Lutheran song.
You are invited to COME and SING with the “Coogs” at the second most ethnically diverse major research university in the United States – The University of Houston. A reception will follow.
